Who am I?
Heyy！
I am a 20 year old, immensely interested in women and children’s law, educational inequality, theater and intercultural communication. Having background ( educational and social) in Africa and moving to Europe, you get to see life on both spectrums. This is an eyeopener to the state at which education is disadvantaged but at the same time it enforces a sense of gratitude for what you have. My goal is to lessen the gap of educational inequality.
My Experiences
Education as we know or as we perceive is a basic right that every kind is entitled to. The trip to Togo on the other hand proved that education can at times be a privilege. During the trip to Togo not only did we share our knowledge with the pupils there but we also got a chance to walk a day in the life of a Togolese pupil. This was a personal eye opener, I got to exchange experiences, expectations and goals and through this trip i got to appreciate what I have more. I mostly enjoyed the trip because I am generally curious about the learning systems in African countries and it was surprising to notice that there was such a huge difference to my home country ( Kenya). The trip to Togo helped me sharpen my group work skills as well as presentation skills since we mostly interacted through lessons and I also got to immerse myself in the rich culture of Togo.
